Gillanan III

This is the planet that all of the Transformers have currently wound up on. Currently, each faction has arrived in a very small area relative to other members of their faction, but that will not necessarily remain true during the rest of the RPG.

 

Currently there is no map of the entire planet. Among other things, this will give the players room to invent terrain and such as they like it. However, there is a map of the starting continent available here.

Solar System Characteristics

 

Including data on the planet as a whole.

 

• System has a single, yellow star. Not a G2 yellow star; it cannot be mistaken for Earth's star.

 

• Gillanan III has lighter gravity than Earth.

 

• Gillanan III is also closer to its star than Earth is, thus the planet tends to run hotter than Earth does.

 

• Gillanan III has three moons. A red one (rich in iron), a blue one (crystalline), and a white one (ice).

There is a general description of the Howling Mine in the Location Descriptions sticky in the Gillanan III section of the forum. The mine is in the mountains to the north of the Expansive Plains.

 

This is the home of the Decepticon base on Gillanan III. It has been extensively reworked into the base, though the base currently lies mostly empty as most of the Decepticons have abandoned it for the spaceship Ship.

 

* Black Desert

 

There is a general description of the Black Desert in the Location Descriptions sticky in the Gillanan III section of the forum. Visible to the south and east are the beginnings of scrubland.

 

The Autobots arrived in a particularly rocky section of the desert, then headed south for an unnumbered amount of miles until they reached a transitional band of scrubland that quickly shifted into a thick forest.

 

The scrubland to the south eventually turns into a rather lush forest, full of life. South-southeast through the forest, there is a city on a river.

There is a general description of the Tourist Beach in the Location Descriptions sticky in the Gillanan III section of the forum. Visible to the east is a whole lotta ocean.

 

One part of the beach near the arrival point has been melted into glass.

 

* Open Air Temple

Local Technology

 

Descriptions of the alien architecture are available in the Location Descriptions sticky, as well as in the different sections above. Everything is scaled for a creature a little larger than a human.

 

The roads are made of a conductive metal, designed for maglevs to run on. The maglev vehicles run on electricity provided by recharge stations that resemble the rapid electrical recharge stations in the California of Dead End's time.

 

Power seems to come almost entirely in the form of beamed electricity. The planet shows a distinct lack of the air pollution that would come from burning fuels at the same technological level.

 

The planet has not been abandoned for very long. A year, perhaps two, at the outside.
